So what exactly is Surf Re-Evolution?
Surf Re-Evolution is about socially responsible, values-based businesses modeling a new way of doing business. It emphasizes longevity over planned obsolescence, sustainability over passing on environmental costs, and creating community around concepts rather than profiting from a broken system. Each year in our hometown of York, ME, we gather like-minded individuals and invite special guests who exemplify this idea, whether through re-evolving materials, design, sustainability, or a DIY attitude. We come together to eat, drink, surf, contemplate art and ideas, and celebrate our commitment to re-evolve ourselves and the world we live and work in.

Who you can expect to see.
While it’s a little hard to pin down our exact criteria for invitees, our goal is to celebrate the craftspeople in and around the surf industry; the shapers, glassers, fin makers, product developers, and artists. We believe in hands-on processes, and we want to share DIY experiences with event comers. Most everyone who is a part of the event has a focus on one or more of the following core values of the event:
An environmental and/or Social focus
Offers a DIY product or experience
Creates a hand-made product
Is re-evolving materials, methods, design
Is in general a cool brand and is somehow tied in with surf culture
