Surfcraft

  • Christian Beamish

Christian Beamish is a surfer, shaper and writer living in Ventura, California. Inspired by the high performance and big wave surfing of the late 1970s/early 80s in Australia and Hawai’i, Beamish shapes boards for “power-flow” surfing: that is, wave riding based on positioning and going with the wave, not against it. Beamish is known for channel bottom designs in single, twin, and “two-plus-one” fin configurations. Author of Voyage of the Cormorant (Patagonia Books 2012) about his single-handed expedition by sail and oars in Baja California aboard his self-built Shetland Isle beach boat Cormorant, Beamish loves surfing wilderness coastlines.

  • Jon Wegener

A lifelong surfer and shaper based in Encinitas, California. With a passion for crafting boards for diverse conditions, he's known for experimenting with various shapes, from traditional longboards to modern shortboards. He's particularly recognized for his work with wooden boards, including alaias and paipos, and is committed to sustainable practices in surfboard making.

  • Hydrophile

Hydrophile Surfcraft creates handcrafted surfboard fins using high-quality materials and a bio-based epoxy resin. Founded on a passion for experimentation and design, each fin is a unique blend of art and engineering. Korey offers custom fin designs and welcomes collaborations on innovative surf craft concepts.

  • Blue Print Surf

Their journey to create high-performance, sustainable surfboards began with a colossal failure. What started as a hopeful experiment in 3D printing turned into a comical, waterlogged nightmare. Undeterred, they pressed forward, riding the wave of innovation through countless iterations, setbacks, and breakthroughs. Ultimately, they transformed their initial clunky creations into stunning, high-performance surfboards that respect the ocean.

  • Nick "Neto" Aleandro

Starting as a surfboard shaper in 2002, he honed his skills over the years and founded Neto Shapes. With a background in construction, he naturally transitioned to boat building, leveraging his expertise in fiberglass and composite materials. Today, Nick offers custom-built surfboards and boats, combining his love for the water with his dedication to creating high-quality, durable products.

  • Seth Cannon

Seth handcrafts each board using eco-friendly materials and focuses on creating high-performance boards designed for speed and flow. With a passion for long single fins, he offers both custom and stock boards to suit a variety of surfers and preferences.

  • Carrier Surf Craft

Based in their garage workshop, Kyle crafts surfboards from start to finish, experimenting with materials and designs. His passion for the craft extends beyond shaping, as he explores various aspects of surfboard production, from sourcing materials to developing a brand identity.
